WE KEEP EACH OTHER SAFE

GoodKids MadCity is a youth-led gun violence prevention organization that strives to create a self-sustaining community through mutual aid, community events, and much more. We believe in the importance of prioritizing the safety, needs, and voices of Black and/or Indigenous people of color. For too long we have been erased from the gun violence narrative. The work we do centers around being able to bring awareness and active change to the issues going on in our city.

Damayanti Wallace is a co-founder of GoodKids MadCity. She has been with GKMC since its inception in 2018. She began this work through other organizations with her other co-founders in 2016. She currently oversees the mutual aid initiative with GoodKids MadCity.

Miracle B is a 20 Yr old youth organizer of GKMC of 3+ yrs. Miracle joined GKMC after Rahm closed her Englewood high school. She has been fighting to end gun violence through restorative practices. She is a main organizer with the PeaceBook.

Born and raised in Chicago’s Greater Westside, she gained much experience and cultural identity working as a Youth Prevention Specialist and Case Manager for the Mentally Ill and Homeless at Bobby E. Wright Comprehensive Community Health Care Center. She is currently taking Trauma & Resiliency Training to become a certified Life coach in Trauma Care.

She currently serves as the Project Lead for Roots To Wings (GKMC). She also served as the first-ever co-chairman of the CPD Use of Force Working Group.
